Hamsun'un Sonbahar Yıldızları Altında, Hüzünlü Havalar ve Son Mutluluk adlı romanlarından oluşan Göçebe üçlemesini Necatigil şöyle anlatıyor:Üç bölümün üç ayrı adı var, ama aslında üç bölümün üçü de birer hüzünlü havadır; üçünün de kahramanı aynı kişi. Hamsun'un asıl adı olan Knud Pedersen'in ağzından anlatılır olaylar. Artık büyük şehirlerden bezmiş, iç sıkıntılarını kırlarda, ormanlarda, şehirlerden uzak yerlerde dağıtmaya çalışan, kayıp gençliği peşinde avare, orta yaşlı bir hülya adamıdır kahraman. Şehir gürültü ve uygarlığından kaçarak tabiatın bağrında, yıldızların altında ruhuna sükun ve şifa arayan, kanının çağıltısını kırların soluğunda yatıştırmak isteyen, şair ruhlu birisi.İstanbul Radyosu'nda 12 bölüm halinde 24 Eylül 6 Ekim 1973 tarihleri arasında yayımlanan oyunun rejisi Kemal Bekir'e, efektleri Korkmaz Çakar'a aitti.
