The faster basic pitcher filters fit all of the current and recent pitchers, so there is no need to replace your pitcher. However, some older pitchers may not fit the PPF900Z and the PPF951K (lead-reducing pitcher filters). The Fast-Flow filters remove 14 contaminants (excluding lead), but provide faster filtration compared to the older filters, which removed 22 different contaminants, but have a slower flow rate. The filters do not need to be soaked, only have water run through them to prime them, making them easier to use. According to customer reviews, the PUR Water Pitcher Replacement Filter Pack of 4, Blue works perfectly, gives delicious-tasting water, and is reasonably priced. However, some customers experienced sediment in their water container after 10-14 days of use or disliked the taste of the water after filtration.
