The book manages to grab children's attention, making it enjoyable for them to work in. However, one reviewer who holds an MEd in Teaching English and homeschools their first grade child found the terminology used in the workbook confusing. For example, the book uses the term "special nouns" instead of "proper nouns", which they found frustrating. They even had to cross out and re-write new headers on several pages to teach their child the correct grammar concepts. Additionally, another reviewer found the workbook lacking in content and exercises, with only a few exercises on each page and only 48 pages in total. The book cannot be reproduced, limiting its use for multiple students.
