Unfortunately, the burner is regulated, and you cannot adjust it below 20,000BTU. The brass fitting is 3/8" flare M x 1/8" MNPT, and the burner has a diameter of 3"-3/4". Customers like that it is an exact replacement for turkey fryers, easy to install, and a great buy for its price. It puts out quite a bit of heat and works well for canning and cooking lobster. One customer, however, had difficulty using it with their cast iron pot, and they suggested buying a different regulator.
