Answer: I wear 11. The shoe says 11, but I can not even get my foot into it. -

Can they be worn submerged in saltwater?
Answer: I have no first hand experience on the effects of salt water on the fabric strapping, however, in general, over time on most fabrics, salt water will at minimum bleach the color and if not properly rinsed clean of the water will probably weaken if not rot the fabric. When I say over time, with this fabric, probably a few seasons of wear. Was far as water proof vs water resistant, how could any shoe with open straps be water proof?? -

Answer: These seem to be average width. -

I have a wider foot, should I size up for a sandal?
Answer: Yes, we recommend sizing up to accommodate a wide foot and to allow for adequate room in the toe box. -

Answer: I think so. Just jam your foot in as far as it can go then the strap in the back will slip right over the heel. Of course it depends on whether or not you select the right size for you.
