The Dixon CV200 Brass Spring-Loaded Check Valve has a brass housing and a plastic check valve and stem. While it may appear to be of good quality Construction, some customers have raised concerns about the durability of the plastic component. One customer reported that the rubber seat began to disintegrate after only three years of use, causing the check valve to remain open and defeat the purpose of their solar hot water system. However, another customer successfully used the valve in a joint air/water system to prevent water from entering the air system.
