One customer almost returned the product and gave it a 1-star review before they found a little piece of paper with instructions on how to expand the foam using hot water. Another customer ordered a roll of filter foam with fast shipping, but received a vacuum-sealed square package that didn't expand and shed material when they tried to shape it. One customer's foam strip was not as wide and long as advertised, and had a chemical smell. Another customer said the foam particles fall apart and leave black particles in the water. However, a satisfied customer says the quality is excellent and they would buy it again.
