Radio Shack In-Wall Stereo Volume Control (100W / 50W x 2)

The Radio Shack In-Wall Stereo Volume Control has garnered a mixed reception among users, with many highlighting its functionality and affordability while also noting some drawbacks. Most reviewers agree that for the price, the volume control performs adequately, particularly in typical usage scenarios like outdoor settings. It allows for decent audio adjustments, especially at higher volume levels, although some users have mentioned that it struggles with very low volume settings. Installation presents a challenge; the depth of the device means it does not fit standard electrical boxes, which can lead to complications during setup. Users have recommended removing the knob and screws for easier wire connections, hinting at a learning curve in getting it set up properly. Some installation frustrations were noted, especially relating to securing wires; however, the final product tended to leave customers satisfied with its overall performance. While the device may not match premium models in terms of Construction quality — with some users referencing better alternatives — many find its good functionality at a low price point to be compelling. The volume control features a clicking mechanism that allows for precise adjustments, albeit not the smoothest operation. Durability is also a concern, as reports of discoloration over time have been noted. In summary, the Radio Shack In-Wall Stereo Volume Control offers a budget-friendly option for audio enthusiasts, but potential buyers should be aware of installation challenges and its limitations at lower volume levels. **
