Answer: I bought for a 1996 model. I think they should all have the same mounting location but not 100% sure. -

So it says that it will fit the rear of my 89 comanche has anyone tired this?
Answer: I don't think it would fit. On my 97 Cherokee, the two back bolts on each side mount under the sway bar mounts. I wouldn't think you'd have sway bay mounts in the same location on the rear of your Comanche. Look at the rear frame. If it's flat where it will mount, this won't work. This has a contour to match the front frame shape.
