Timber Tuff Accessories Editorial Review
The Timber Tuff TMW-57 beam cutter is a useful tool that helps make rough cutting simple with chainsaws. It works by stepping down the 2x4 guide, and with the bumps on the bracket that digs into the 2x4 guide, making it stable while cutting. This tool can be used for making rustic lumber, sawing slabs, and creating beams. The product comes in non-adjustable and adjustable channels for use with a 2x4 and 2x6, respectively. The thickness of the piece is adjusted by moving the 2X4 rail that guides the tool's cut. It requires an allen wrench of 5/16, which is not included in the package. The product is also equipped with a feature that shows a spirit level. Key takeaways from reviews of Timber Tuff TMW-57 are that the tool can produce inConsistent width beams that need additional millwork unless you want a real rustic beam. It is hard to use and wobbles a bit side to side while cutting, making it challenging to achieve a clean cut, and may tear up 2x4s. It works best with smaller logs than larger ones. It can be used to create large beams from trees, but users should note that it doesn't fit on standard lumber.
