Google Smart Assistants Editorial Review
The Google Nest Hub Max is a smart display that is great for video calls, sharing photos, and listening to music. The video quality is excellent with face recognition and following features. The sound quality is also excellent for watching YouTube videos. Hey Google's voice commands work very smoothly, although, a few mentions have been made that Alexa has more versatility and the Alexa speaker is better quality. The device is quite easy to set up and good for home devices integration. It is perfect for the kitchen with its recipe and video features. However, the device can be slightly confusing when it comes to features such as the family calendar and figuring out which calendar is in use. The device lacks some versatility with a slightly slower response time and microphone issues. It is also not user friendly with its touch screen, only having voice control. The device is not recommended to people who like loud music with good sound quality as it becomes distorted at higher volumes. Finally, the camera does not have night vision, so you have to leave a light on to use it and it cannot be used as a Nest Camera without Nest Aware but works well if you have Nest cameras.
