Answer: Many people use our Neem Oil Soap regularly because it contains oils which have been used for many years to moisturise, condition and improve suppleness in skin prone to dryness such as in eczema and psoriasis, including Neem oil, Vitamin E, and Shea butter. Always do a patch test before trying a new skincare product particularly if you have sensitive skin. -

What is the percentage of neem oil in the product?
Answer: Sorry it does not state on the box in which the soap came in what percentage of neem oil. I have rosacea and this soap has really helped with that. Also, it makes my skin feel clean and soft not dry at all. You can smell the neem oil so I would think it has quite a high content. -

Is this soap vegan friendly?
Answer: All our products are Vegan friendly, we are certified with both the Vegan Society and Cruelty Free International. -

Could anyone tell me if they've used it for acne?
Answer: People do use Neem soap for acne but we recommend our Health Scrub bar for this purpose as it contains organic seaweed for gentle exfoliation and tea tree oil for antiseptic qualities. A paste of a small amount of Health Scrub is very good for soothing and drying out individual spots. -

What is the pH?
Answer: The pH of Marble Hill Neem soap is 9.5 - 9.8. All soap as opposed to synthetic detergents has a pH in this range. -

I know this has no added fragrance, but does it smell like normal soap?
Answer: The best thing I can say is that it smells slightly of Neem oil but has no other particular fragrance. If you mean you don’t like the sweet-ish synthetic smell of regular bar soap then don’t worry but if you are not keen on Neem oil then that’s something else! -

I was keen on buying this until I saw palm oil in the ingredients. Can someone tell me the source of the palm oil and whether it is sustainably sourced?
Answer: All our palm oil is certified sustainably produced and is actually used in the catering industry for frying chips. We purchase it from the leading supplier of catering oils in Northern Ireland. -
Question:
I find using this results in waste pipe from washbasin developing black sludge what slows water draining away. Didn't happen before. Any suggestions?
Answer: Our soaps are made with pure plant oils and have no synthetic detergents in them. Using cooler water to wash can cause a build-up of oils which can be cleared with regular flushing with a kettle of hot water. Sometimes a hot solution of washing soda is useful if a substantial build-up has developed.
