Although they don’t have an enclosure around the back, the sound quality is far better than expected. It is easy to install by those who are somewhat handy. The speakers come well-packed and well-built making them look trim in the room. One customer did experience a noticeable difference when speech moves across from one channel to the other, but it was dependent on the orientation of the mounting. However, the vertical and horizontal mounting works fine. One person found that playing around with the filters and running an auto-EQ made a huge difference from how it sounded straight out of the box when they did it with their Onkyo. **
