Answer: I have a 2013 FX4 and it did not work to an acceptable degree. It fit the mount just fine, however due to the antenna size it was unable to 'lock on' to any of the stations when doing a scan. I had to manually make adjustments, tuning in small 100 kHz increments only to get staticky reception at best. In the end I put my stock antenna back on and didn't bother with the shorty. -

Answer: Don't know what's a cover plate but I will say the antenna color will fade quickly with time! -

Will this shorty antenna work on a 2021 F150 Platinum?
Answer: Don’t waste your money—it will fit but only picks up fm stations but the real problem is that it isn’t rust proof. We ended up buying one a little bigger that is rust proof and works on both am and fm.
