We compared the scent of Aura Cacia Sandalwood Essential Oil with that of Cedar, and they were completely different. Although some reviewers complained that the Sandalwood had no scent, we found the smell to be spicy and woodsy. The Sandalwood essential oil did not irritate our skin or cause any discomfort. However, we caution potential buyers that this essential oil is potent and may accelerate your heart rate even when diluted with carrier oil. We noticed a significant increase in heart rate when we tested it on a few people. Heart rate returns to normal when the oil is not in use.
