This keyboard tray is a solid, sturdy addition to any desk. The tray measures 26 x 10 inches and sticks out about 3 inches beyond the tabletop surface. The tabletop clamps are 2 inches wide and there is 26 inches between them. Unfortunately, the clamps won't accommodate more than 1-5/8 inches so some desks might not be suitable. The small pen niche in front of the tray doesn't have a lid but it seems not to get in the way of typing. The tray drawer however seems to be a bit of an issue as it might close on its own. The tray is locked when not in use and gives a slight click.
