The cam locking hole can only make dowel holes, but the dowel-spacing is always centered no matter the dowel size. One can always shim if the need arises.The product has both Pros and Cons, but it is much cheaper than a domino machine, which may have been a better option. With this pack, one doesn't get an instruction manual, and the tiny allen nuts don't hold the spacing arm in place, making the holes misaligned. The guide hole wears down quickly, and the clamp doesn't hold well. Besides, it's only designed for metric measurements, so that could pose a challenge for some users.
