When it comes to the cons, it is clear that the Durabox is not weather-resistant or waterproof, so it is not suitable for outdoor use. It leaks when it rains and snows, so water can easily get inside, which can ruin checks, cards, and applications, making it useless for its intended use. Another negative is that the opening is too small for anything other than envelopes, so if you want to put in catalogs or other larger items, expect to struggle. Finally, the top two mounting holes are “hang” style, which are located right behind the trap door, so it might be a bit tricky to get the box installed securely.
