The Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Jaguar Beginner Electric Guitar in Olympic White is a great choice for beginner guitar players. This guitar has the classic Jaguar look with a modern twist and is made in Indonesia. The guitar has two circuits, lead and rhythm, which are selected by the two way switch on the upper horn. Each circuit has its own volume and tone controls. Pickup selection is achieved with the three two-way switches on the lower, shorter horn of the guitar. Depending on where you have top two switches, you can run both pickups at the same time or select one or the other. The guitar has a standard "C" shape neck and has a shorter scale length, which is great for fretwork. This guitar has a slight buzz and bridge issue but not everyone strikes their strings so hard that they cause these problems. The guitar comes with a small allen wrench to adjust the height on the bridge. The guitar is great for playing the blues, and it has a great sustain, too. If the guitar comes out of the box with no problems, it would be a five-star rating. It is a bit heavy, but the balance makes up for it.
