The Fotasy 35mm f1.6 APSC Lens, compatible with Panasonic and Olympus Cameras, is a budget lens with a manual focus. The lens has a 35mm thread and a 35mm focal length. Some versions of the lens may have different thread sizes. The lens is incredibly fast, and the images look great with all the bokeh one would expect from such a wide aperture. However, some outer distortion and blurring around the peripherals are visible. The center of focus is neat and reasonably sharp. Chromatic aberration is not an issue with this lens. On the downside, the infinity focus is not calibrated correctly. The focus ring goes past the infinity mark, making it challenging to focus anywhere below 2m. Some customers found the lens works well in a studio setting or for timelapses. The build quality feels good, and the focus and aperture rings both have tactile resistance. Despite its limitations, the lens is an excellent portrait lens and produces fantastic results.
